About the Author
With a home base in Vermont's Green Mountains, Jen Rose Smith writes about travel, adventure, and the occasional cocktail. While researching this book, she hiked New Hampshire's high peaks and paddled the bays of Block Island, then searched out Portsmouth's best clam chowder and Maine's finest lobster rolls. In a personal research record set in southern Vermont, she ate eleven dinners in under three days.
In addition to Moon New England, Jen is also the author of Moon Vermont and Moon New England Road Trip, titles that explore the many quirks and charms of the northeastern United States. Jen has contributed to dozens of publications, including CNN Travel, National Geographic Adventure, and Outside, and her writing has been translated into Swedish, Spanish, and Dutch.
When she's not writing or reading, Jen spends her time exploring the Green Mountains on foot, back-country skis, and by bicycle.
